The Irish all-male wonder from producer Sharon Browne, and legendary songwriter/composer Phil Coulter, performs an eclectic mix of songs ranging from the traditional to the contemporary, with some international hits and original material in between. Boasting boy-band good looks and impeccable harmonies, the group delivers traditional Celtic songs and contemporary pop classics as only they know how.

Unelectable You

October 19, 2016

Election season is now upon us, and two of the country's two most unpopular politicians are going head to head for Presidency. With almost daily gaffes made by a certain Republican candidate, and corruption accusations towards his rival, it's little wonder that the voting populace are confused! Second City's scathing new comedy show tears up the electoral process with sketches, music, improv and interactive media to lampoon the biggest contest in world politics. Instead of crying, why not laugh instead?

If there was any justice in the world, John Prine would be a household name. Playing in the Chicago folk scene of the early 70s, Prine was plucked from obscurity by Kris Kristofferson, an endorsement which helped to land him his first recording contract. Bob Dylan is also one of his biggest fans, terming Prine's work "pure Proustian existentialism". He's a singer who trades in life's little details, imbuing everyday existence with a kind of romantic grandeur. Now in his 60s, Prine is still going strong. It may be a while since his last record but he always seems to be on the road. He tends to tour with a very sparse backing band, leaving his words front and centre, just as they should be.
